mmmmm...peanut butter and banana. My favorite! I love it. I really can't say enough about it. It's my weakness. (Well, not really. Ice cream would have to be my weakness.) Peanut butter and banana is perfect in every way. It tastes yummy, but can still be considered a healthy snack if you don't overdo it on the peanut butter and by the way, use natural peanut butter. (I love looking at the ingredients on the side of my PB and all it says is peanuts. Look at a Jif jar...it will scare you. Also, I buy my PB from a local maker and that makes me feel all warm inside.)
You can make this healthy snack into a meal just by putting it in between two slices of whole wheat bread (again, read the ingredients. Whole wheat should be the first ingredient.)
You can make it a dessert by adding cinnamon and honey and grilling it with a dab of butter like a grill cheese. YUM!
I have even made PB and banana panini's.
Another healthy treat is PB and Banana smoothies. Milk, banana, PB, & vanilla (or chocolate) protein powder. Give it a whirl and drink it on up.
So this blog is not really about my obsession with PB and banana. This blog will be a daily recording of my eats. It's just that PB and banana will most likely make a daily appearance.
I just really enjoy food. I really enjoy cooking and eating what I cook. And I enjoy what others cook for me. I enjoy reading about food. I enjoy watching food on TV. I love talking about food. I'm afraid that my husband tires of hearing me talk about food, so this blog is my vent.
Now I will write about food.
